Zn-Ni industrial waste water treatment system with selective resins
Tecn.A. builds two types of resin systems:
ION EXCHANGE SYSTEMS WITH CATION AND ANIONIC RESINS
These systems are used mainly for the demineralisation and recycling of waste water from washing operations.
The systems can be single or double-line, with manual or automatic operation.
Resin exhaustion is determined by conductivity measurements and regeneration is performed with hydrochloric acid and caustic soda.
ION EXCHANGE INSTALLATIONS WITH SELECTIVE RESINS
These systems are used at the end of a chemical-physical waste water treatment plant for the selective removal of heavy metals residues after chemical precipitation.
Selective resins are characterized by CHELANTS functional groups that form stable compounds with heavy metals present in solution, whether in ionic or complex form. The chelating functional group selectively captures only the HEAVY METALS (copper, zinc, nickel, etc.), while it allows the other non-polluting ions (Ca and Na) to pass without any exchange, thus not contributing to the exhaustion of the resin itself.
The filtration section followed by the selective resin plant at the end of a chemical-physical waste water treatment plant constitutes the final polishing section.
